Children’s dentistry is an established part of Dr. Zaborski’s practice. American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends for children to have their first dental appointment by age one. However, child dental cleanings should start no later than age three.

A child prophylaxis is less invasive as an adult due to less dental tarter and plaque scalers may or may not be used depending on the condition of the child’s teeth.

Fluoride is also administered by the hygienist based on the child’s age. We will talk with both child and parent on these topics:

  • Brushing & Flossing
  • Fluoride
  • Snacks & Nutrition
  • Teething
  • Tooth Eruption
  • Cavities
  • Sealants
  • Gum Disease
  • Thumb Sucking
  • Bruxism (Teeth Grinding)
  • Orthodontics (Braces)
